Join 1,000 Friends to bring the rich heritage of Rotorua back to life!

Restoration of the iconic Museum building is progressing well, but we need your help to re-open it with world-class exhibitions. Friends of Rotorua Museum aim to raise $1million towards the $8million still needed to complete the exhibition project. Find out more

How can you help? For as little as a cup of coffee a week, we’re seeking 1,000 generous donors to gift $1,000 each – through small weekly or monthly payments, or as a one-off donation.

Be in to win! All those who sign for 1,000 Friends up by midnight, Sunday 27 April 2026 will automatically go in the draw to win a spot on an exclusive 10-person tour through the Rotorua Museum building on Thursday 4 June 2026, 12.30pm – 2pm. (competition terms and conditions apply)
